Revo-Rack is a innovative design of BMW Z4 E85 Luggage Rack that eliminates the risk of paint damage, caused by steel clamps or straps on the boot/trunk lid edge.

Revo-Rack was developed in 2016 for modern cabrio as the panel gaps are only 2-3mm there is no room for a traditional metal luggage rack clamp on the boot/trunk lid edges without a high risk of paint damage,

With the Revo-Rack luggage rack no metal touches your Z4 only soft rubber vacuum cups these use the pressure of the atmosphere to secure the rack to your BMW. The grey buttons on the side of the cups physically pump the air out, these are not suction cups.

Revo-Rack has been independently tested by TUV Italy part of the global TUV testing and certification business. The rack went through speed, braking and force tests, to ISO 11154:2006 the international standard for car roof bars and the European Directive for general safety 2002/95/CE. Revo-Rack passed all these tests : Its the only luggage rack for sale globally that has been tested to this level.

The Revo-Rack Frame :

This luggage rack is manufactured from 25mm 6063-T5 tubing this is an aluminium and magnesium alloy ( it will never rust ) As a result the rack frame weighs only 1.672kg The cross bars are machine welded in place to ensure consistency. The rack frame measures 90x42cm

The Supports :

The rack is secured to your Z4 using three 120mm vacuum cups, rated by the manufacturer as capable of holding an 18kg/40lb load each. These are very different to suction cups. Suction creates vacuum.

Vacuum cups employ the force of atmospheric pressure to grip a surface: When a vacuum exists between the cup and the surface on which it is attached, the weight of Earth's atmosphere holds the cup in place with incredible force. Unlike suction cups that produce a vacuum as they pull away from the surface, Revo-Racks vacuum cups use a hand-actuated pump to efficiently remove air from between the rubber pad and the attaching surface thus creating a much more reliable hold. Because the full face of the pad is brought into contact with the surface, distortion is reduced, allowing the cup to be used with very little risk of damage.
