Revo-Rack is an innovative design of Mazda MX5 ND Luggage Rack that eliminates the risk of paint damage, caused by steel clamps or straps on the fragile aluminium trunk lid edges.
In 2016 Revo-Rack was developed for the MX-5 ND as the panel gaps are only 2.7mm there is no room for a traditional luggage rack clamp on the trunk lid edges.
Revo-Rack PA is hand polished and anodised for a deep chrome like shine, whilst still retaining the lightweight properties of aluminium. This frame also includes an extra hole in the first cross rail so it can be fitted with the rear spoiler.
With the Revo-Rack luggage rack no metal touches your MX5 only soft rubber vacuum cups, these are not suction cups. These use the pressure of the atmosphere to secure the rack to your Mazda's trunk lid. The grey buttons on the side of the cups pump the air out creating a secure powerful hold.
All Revo-Racks are supplied with a storage bag and two luggage straps - no more missing bits when you next come to use the luggage rack.
Revo-Rack has been independently safety tested by TUV Italy laboratory in 2015 Along with braking and speed tests to a loaded rack they applied a 645N force. Revo-Rack passed all these tests and is certified to carry 20KG.

The Revo-Rack Frame :
This MX5 ND luggage rack is manufactured from 25mm/ 1" 6063-T5 tubing this is an aluminium and magnesium alloy ( it will never rust ) As a result the rack frame weighs only 1.672kg perfect for the MX5 ND aluminium trunk lid. The Revo-Rack measures 900x420mm / 36"x17"
The Supports :
The Revo-Rack is secured to your MX5 ND 's trunk lid using three 115mm/5" vacuum cups, rated by the manufacturer as capable of holding an 18kg/40lb load each. These are very different to suction cups. Suction creates vacuum
Vacuum cups employ the force of atmospheric pressure to grip a surface: When a vacuum exists between the cup and the surface on which it is attached, the weight of Earth's atmosphere holds the cup in place with incredible force. Unlike suction cups that produce a vacuum as they pull away from the surface, Revo-Racks vacuum cups use a hand-actuated pump to efficiently remove air from between the rubber pad and the trunk lid thus creating a much more reliable hold.
