Revo-Rack is an innovative design of Maserati Convertible Luggage Rack that eliminates the risk of paint damage, caused by steel clamps or straps on the fragile boot lid edges it requires no drilling and attaches to the rear of your Gransport Spyder or Gran Cabrio using vacuum pad technology. We manufacture the rack in either black or polished anodised finishes. Both racks use the same aluminium and magnesium alloy tubing.
With the Revo-Rack no metal touches your Maserati only soft rubber vacuum pads these use the pressure of the atmosphere to secure the rack to the car. The grey buttons on the side of the cups pump air out, these are not suction cups.
As the Gran Cabrio has a shallow boot/trunk lid it's not possible to operate the roof with the rack in place a one of the vacuum cups is on the hood cover.
Revo-Rack has been independently tested by TUV Italy part of the global TUV testing and certification business. The rack went through speed, braking and force tests, to ISO 11154:2006 the international standard for Road Vehicles Roof Carriers and the European Directive for general safety 2002/95/CE. Revo-Rack passed all these tests : It’s the only luggage rack for sale globally to have achieved this certification.

The Revo- Rack Frame :
The Revo-Rack is manufactured from 25mm/ 1" 6063-T5 tubing this is an aluminium and magnesium alloy ( it will never rust ) As a result the rack frame weighs only 1.672kg / 3.6lb The rack measures 900x420mm / 36"x17"
The Supports :
The rack is secured using three 120mm/5" vacuum pads, rated by the manufacturer as capable of holding an 18kg/40lb load each.
Vacuum pads employ the force of atmospheric pressure to grip a surface: Unlike suction cups that produce a vacuum as they pull away from the surface, Revo-Racks vacuum cups use a hand-actuated pump to actually remove the air from between the rubber pad and the car's surface thus creating a much more reliable hold. As full face of the pad is brought into contact with the paintwork, distortion is reduced, allowing the cup to be used with very little risk of damage. The rack is designed so that the pads can rotate on the frame to allow it fix to curvy boot lids.
The Revo-Racks vacuum pads pump feature a plunger with a red line, which serves as a vacuum indicator. A few strokes of the plunger evacuate the vacuum pad, causing it to seal securely to the car. When the cup is attached completely, the plunger stops moving and the red line is hidden within the pump. A visible red line indicates if air has leaked back into the pad, making vacuum insufficient to use the cup. If the red line becomes visible while the cup is in use, a check valve allows the user to re pump the pads without losing the remaining vacuum.
Vacuum pads spread the weight of the luggage over a much wider area than a traditional clamp based rack with a small footprint on the fragile boot edges. As the footprint between the rack and car is much bigger, again minimising the risk of damage.
